Reason For Nomination: Liz is one of the most conscientious student athletes I have coached. She is highly competitive and although not the most talented athlete on the team, she has worked very hard to earn a spot in the lineup and hold on to that spot despite the fact that there are bigger hitters on our team. She leads the team in digs and brings such positive energy to the floor, she had an immediate impact when we put her in the lineup last year early in the season. She was selected as a captain by her teammates this season. She also excels off the court as you can see by her GPA and her involvement in student activities and clubs. She has attended and has actively participated in many leadership roles through her involvement in FCCLA and Student Council. I would count her among the leaders of the entire senior class at Hermann High School this year. In my estimation she is a very worthy candidate for the Athlete of the Week.

Reason For Nomination: Hadley played junior varsity her first two years, ending last year with the goal of making varsity her senior year. She came out, after extensive work all summer, ready to earn that spot. We had a very competitive group within our squad this year, but Hadley never gave up on staying on Varsity. She ended up in our 5th spot on the Varsity squad to play in districts. Hadley's 18 hole score was one used to secure our team the District championship for the first time in 23 years. Then heading to state, Hadley finished off her 2 18 hole rounds, shooting the her two all time career lows. A remarkable showing of what an athlete is all about-never giving up. This commitment and drive, on top of, what she does for the school and community takes a lot out of a teenager. But Hadley manages it all. She will have taken 9 Honors courses and 4 Advanced Placement courses by graduation. All of this together makes the total student athlete. One who is just as driven and dedicated to their academics as they are to their sport and team. I am so impressed with her ability to show up and set a good example for her teammates.
